The Khalah on our Shabbat table is a replacement to the offerings made by the priests on the Temple four corners alter. The salt that we spread on the Khalah is a way to remember the act of salting the offerings as they was salted at the Temple. The shape of the container is like a four corners alter to bring the alter onto our table. Gold plate on brass, 3" x 3" x 1/4" $ 300 |
