The justice Mezuzah by Avi Biran

THE JUSTICE MEZUZAH

"Open the gates of Justice for me that I may enter them..."

(Psalms 118:19)

"...Justice and well-being kiss."

(Psalms 85:11)

The above two verses influenced this design. The letter "Shin", represents the first letter of "Shadai" (one of G-d's many names in Hebrew: "Guardian of Israel's gates") is placed as the pivot of the scales of justice which is fixed at the equalibrium position. From the Shin's arms, the scale's pans are hung with cables that allow them to move.
